Waterbury Generation Project

Frank Lill & Son, Inc. was awarded the Engineer Procure and Construct contract to build a 100 MW Simple Cycle Power Plant in Waterbury, CT. The plant utilizes a dual fuel General Electric LMS-100 Gas Turbine Generator; firing natural gas as the primary fuel with low sulfur distillate as the back-up. This project also included a SCR for low NOx and consisted of extensive civil work and piling. Frank Lill had this facility generating at full capacity 99 days after delivery of major equipment, which was the fastest LMS-100 install at that time.
