TVA - Cumberland Fossil Plant

Frank Lill & Son, Inc. had multiple contracts as part of this 72 day outage on the 1350 MW, Coal Fired Unit 1 at TVA’s Cumberland City Plant. Our contracts included the replacement of 12 major expansion joints (variety up to 30' W x 35' L dimensions), installing over 4000 sq. ft. corten liner plate on ductwork, hastelloy duct replacement, guillotine dampers modifications and repairs along with structural repairs on three scrubber tanks, major burner repairs and maintenance on the units 88 burners and their controls. We also performed heavy maintenance including partial curtain and wire replacements on the six precipitators associated with Unit 1 and miscellaneous piping installations and platform repairs on this unit.
