Standard Oil of Ohio Boiler

Frank Lill & Son, Inc. was awarded a major mechanical contract to provide complete turnkey boiler field erection and total power plant piping installation related to a new 70,000# St./Hr. 800# design pressure fluidized bed boiler plant. In addition to the boiler modules, installation of two economizers, Detroit fuel feeder and miscellaneous associated equipment including all certified welding, stress relieving, etc. were provided. This plant was one of the first fluidized bed boilers to be constructed in the United States, and acted as a pilot plant for the then up and coming technology.
