Pinelawn Power Cogeneration Plant

Frank Lill & Son, Inc. was awarded the contract to perform total mechanical equipment erection (HRSG, CTG, Steam Turbine, Condenser, etc.) and above ground piping on a 79.9 MW Combined Cycle Cogeneration Plant on Long Island, NY. The project utilized an Innovative Steam Technology (IST), Once Through Steam Generator (OTSG) with a G.E. LM6000 combustion turbine and a Siemens steam turbine as core equipment. The OTSG erection portion of our contract included receiving all modular sections shipped to the site, unloading all sections, and finally the erection of the OTSG modules and stack itself. Erection also included interconnecting piping, trim piping, duct burners, SCR components, inlet and outlet ducts with silencing equipment, interior components and access ladders, stairwells, and platforms. Installation of all balance plant mechanical equipment included a state of the art water treatment system, multiple pumps and heat exchangers, etc.
