In the summer of 2014 Frank Lill & Son, Inc. was awarded the General Contract for total construction of Iowa State University’s Stoker Boiler Replacement Project. This project involves the construction of an entirely new boiler house utilizing (3) Cleaver Brooks 150,000#ST/HR Package boilers built to replace coal fired capacity that was recently retired. The new facility, which is located immediately adjacent to ISU’s current boiler plant, is scheduled for completion in late 2015. In addition to this new boiler plant addition, our contract also includes the construction of a new DSI system for the university’s two remaining coal fired units.

Frank Lill & Son, Inc. mobilized into the field and began construction just 1 month after award of contract. Frank Lill will manage all construction of this project, self preform all mechanical activities associated with this project, and oversee this projects schedule and budget.

Frank Lill & Son, Inc. is currently performing extensive civil work on site, including: excavation, piles, underground utilities, concrete, building erection and existing plant exterior restoration.
